In the fall of 2006 I w blessed with the opportunity to visit the Holy Land. It was an amazing experience! Although I had been there before in 2001 when I traveled to Israel and Egypt on a church Tour, I found that I was just as amazed with the wonderful blend of history and natural beauty of the country.
Needless to say, to me, Israel was the trip of a lifetime. If I could only recommend one place to go in your life it would definitely be Israel. The landside is littered with well preserved ruins of ancient Canaanite, Hebrew, Greek and Roman cities. Almost anywhere you go you can see beautiful artifacts of long dead civilizations. The wildlife and plants are extremely exotic and even the climate is diverse through the small country. You can go to the mountains and at times find snow or head down south to the desert regions, and in between you can find close to tropical conditions.
