Temple Ruins from near Palatine Hill and the Coliseum in Rome, Italy.

Well, finally made it home from Europe this past Sunday and got mostly unpacked. I sorted through all the thousands of pictures that I took, deleted a lot and tried to trim them down but still wound up with over a thousand but that’s ok since I didn’t buy any souvenirs, the photos will be pretty much all I have to remember the trip by. Anyway, I threw them up on Flickr and organized them into a collection for everyone who might be interested (probably not that many). Check it out by going to the photo section, click the picture above or just click the link below:

Europe 2009 Photo Collection

A World War I era tank inside the Hotel Des Invalides campus in Paris, France stands ready to be of service...ok maybe not.

The slow process of restoring back archives continues. Now available are the Warren Youth Meeting pictures from 2007. The gallery was taken over a period of 4 days on a Panasonic FZ50. You can click on the “Photos” section to see them.

Additionally the photos from my 2005 trip to Europe are now available. This photo gallery can also be found under the photos section. Movies will eventually become available as well.

Brownsville Meeting

Candice Colgrove and Lanai Cheatem from Des Moines, IA prepare for the first service

As CTFBOC’s restructuring efforts proceed the next item to be restored to the site is the photo gallery taken by Christopher Colgrove of the Brownsville Youth Meeting.  Christopher was able to attend the regional youth meeting in Brownsville that year and took plenty of pictures to show all of us who weren’t able to attend just what we missed out on! If you haven’t already explored this photo gallery now is your time to catch up!

Weighing in at exactly 240 pictures, this gallery contains photos from the services in Texas as well as some from across the border in Mexico.  Check it out in the photos section of the site or click this link:

DSC_0778 CTFBOC has taken the next few steps to getting the photo galleries back up and available. We’ve added three new photo galleries. To view simply click on the “Photos” and select the galleries you wish to view.

The three new galleries are: Toronto Meeting, Sailorville Lake and Softball. All three galleries occurred in the months of July and August. The Toronto Meeting album is highly recommended especially if you were unable to attend. Please stay tuned as more albums will become available over the next few days, most of them will be existing backlog but there might a be few new ones as well.

Well the first iteration went pretty smoothly however I quickly found that the limitation of my existing webhost was pretty constricting so I began searching for a new webhost. After I finally found one that would suit the needs of the website I began the migration process all over again. It took a while and it will still take a while to get everything setup right. The important thing is that this shouldn’t take quite as long as it did way back when we gave CTFBOC is last facelift.

The agenda is to first finalize the look of CTFBOC, hopefully this new look whether its this template or another one will become pretty standard. Once that is accomplished we will begin recreating all the past content of CTFBOC including the movies and all the various photo galleries. For the photo galleries we will probably use Flickr and for the videos we will probably use the popular video hosting service, Vimeo.
